HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), chaired today a regular meeting of the Centre. The meeting discussed the policies adopted by the Centre including the nationalisation of its employees and noted that the proportion of national employees has risen from 43.3pc to 50.6pc during the current year. Sheikh Mansour stressed during the meeting, the importance of training national cadre to fill technical posts and the need for encouraging them to enter rare careers. He urged the need for giving all necessary care for citizens who show excellence in their works and promised every opportunity to enhance their career. The Board approved several items on its agenda including the hosting of a team from the World Meteorological Organization to study the details of setting up an international centre in the field of weather modification envisaged to be headquartered in Abu Dhabi.
