Ministry of Health to host ten International Consultants 



 
 

The Ministry of Health will host a number of international consultants in the ministry's hospitals and health centers during May and June as part of the approved overseas consultant program for the year 2012.
 
Dr. Mostafa Al Sayed Al Hashemi, Director of Overseas Consultants Program and Acting Director of Dubai Medicla District, stated that Al Baraha Hospital will receive Dr. Medhat Hassanein, Obstetrics Laparoscopic in the University Hospital, UK between (5-11 May) as well as Dr. Graham Sefton, Orthopedic Surgeon in Harrogate District Hospital, UK from (12-18 May).

In June, Al Baraha Hospital will also receive Dr. Ameet Patel, Bariartic Surgeon in King's College Hospital, England from (2-8 June) whereas Al Qassimi Hospital will host Dr. Yuri Takhataev, Opthalmology Surgeon in Fudorov Eye Institute in Russia between (4-11 May). Dr. Milliand Kertani, ENT Consultant in King Edwards Memorial Hospital in England will visit Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah between (2-8 June).

Sheikh Khelifa Hospital in Ajman will receive Professor Mohammed Ghoneim, Urology Surgeon, from (5-12 May) and Dr. Yahia Mohammed Saleh, Opthalmology Interior Chamber Surgeon from Kasr Al Aini Hospital from (16-22 June).

With regards to the visits in Ras Al Khaimah, Dr. Robert Hill, a pediatric orthopedic from Portland Hospital in England will visit Saqer Hospital from (5-11 May). Dr. Ahmed Al Masoud, pediatric Endocrinology Surgeon from Northwest London Hospital, will visit Saqer Hospital from (5-11 May).

During May, Al Fujairah Hospital will receive Dr. Ameet Patel, Bariartic Surgeon in King's College Hospital, from 26 May to 1 June.

Dr. Al Hashemi, assured that the overseas consultants program carefully selects consultants are recognized for the academic qualification as well as practical experiences in order to achieve the maximum results of the visit. The ministry also aims for improving the capabilities and skills of its doctors through benefiting from the experiences of international doctors.

Al Hashemi also lauded the efforts and support of minister of health for raising medical services of the employees and nationals.
