The UAE has chaired the second conference of the Arab chiefs of civil affairs departments, being held in Tunisia by the Arab Interior Ministers Council.

The UAE is represented to the conference by Colonel Ahmed Ali Al-Sagheeri, the Director of the Naturalization and Residency Department of the emirate of Fujairah.

In remarks at the meeting, the UAE official underscored the work of civil affairs departments as a pillar for community security as documents should be protected from theft and faking.

The two-day meeting discussed inter-Arab cooperation on civil affairs as well as a project of a relevant unified civil affairs guidebook for all Arab states.
