A nation-wide drive to create awareness against the practice of illegal immigration into the country got underway today in the capital under the slogan' No To Violators'.

The campaign aims to encourage every citizen and legal resident in the country to combat the phenomenon of alien infiltration into the UAE by helping the authorities to track them.

The Directorate to folow-up violations and foreigners affairs set up by the Ministry of Interior will implement the drive to educate people about the importance of combating the practice of illegal infiltration and residence in the country.

The all-out campaign is launched as per directives of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt.General HH Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, said Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs Major General Nasser Bin Al-Awadhi Al Minhali.

The Security Media Directorate at the Ministry will implement the campaign in cooperation with the print and electronic media operating in the country.
