Saif bin Zayed pays surprise inspection visit to roads in Capital 



 
 
Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, paid a surprise visit yesterday to assess performance of the traffic patrols at the major roundabouts in the Capital City, Abu Dhabi.

He also inspected the new and proposed roundabouts and monitored closely the traffic at the rush hour at some major roundabouts. He also monitored closely the performance of the traffic patrols and how they fast respond at critical situations.

Sheikh Saif stressed that the UAE leadership is keen to inspect work sites and urge employees to exert efforts to produce qualitative work to keep abreast with prosperity being experienced by the UAE.

He called on the road users to adhere to the traffic laws to ensure their safety and reflect civilised conduct. Sheikh Saif added that the federal government provides funds to update the road networks.

Pleased with the visit paid by Sheikh Saif, the traffic patrol personnel briefed him about some difficulties they faced while on duty.

He was accompanied by Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Minhali, deputy director general of the human resources department and operations of Abu Dhabi police and Colonel Hussein Al Harethi, director of the Traffic Engineering and Road Safety Section at the Traffic and Patrols Department of Abu Dhabi police.
