Ministerial Council For Services

 

  

The Ministerial Council for Services was established in 2006 under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh/Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of presidential affairs and member of the membership of ministers of service ministries. The purpose of establishing this council is to serve as an executive council for the cabinet. It follows up performance of the federal government authorities when implementing the general policy of the UAE government. It also studies the reports on the business conduct of federal ministries and authorities,and presents suitable solutions for improving level of government services provided to the UAE nationals, especially what is related to health, education, housing, roads, means of transportation, water and electricity. Moreover, it also takes the necessary action on the implementation process and progress.

Responsibilities of the Ministerial Council for Services

 The Ministerial Council for Services shall perform the responsibilities below :

1-Follow up implementation of general policy of the government and issue the related binding instructions within the framework of its jurisdiction .
2-Study reports on the business conduct of ministries and government authorities and their commitment to the general policy of the government and issue the related binding resolutions.
3-Make the necessary contacts with the official authorities across the UAE and have mutual consultations with them in the area of implementation of their responsibilities .
4-Follow up implementation of laws and regulations and issue instructions on the matters referred to the council by the cabinet or the Prime Minister.
5-Study the reports presented by the ministries, public authorities and institutions regarding participation in the official conferences, meetings and visits .
6-Make the right decisions to improve the level of services provided to UAE nationals, especially those related to health, education, housing, roads, the various means of transport, electricity, water and means of communication and follow up implementation of the same .
7-Carry out responsibilities set for the cabinet in relation to appointment of federal staff, their reemployment, promotion, transfer, selection, secondment and termination of their services .
8-Consider any other issues referred to it by the cabinet or Prime Minister.
