The Prime Minister's Office handles the following roles and responsibilities:
-
Coordinate, develop and follow up the implementation of the UAE Government's strategy and review the strategic and operational plans of the Ministries and Federal Institutions and Bodies.

Revise the policies proposed by the Federal entities and propose policies in areas that do not fall under the jurisdiction of any specific body .

Manage and develop the government performance measurement system in the Ministries, agencies, and Federal institutions, and prepare periodic status reports for His Highness the Prime Minister .

Propose policies on the development of the federal government's efficiency, effectiveness and performance and lead the efforts for excellence in customer service .

Develop the leadership capacity of the Government of UAE .

Develop and coordinate the efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of the UAE .

Manage and Coordinate the Sheikh Khalifa Program for Government Excellence . In addition to coordinating and implementing other strategic initiatives . |

Biography of Executive Director of Prime Minister's Office
Her Excellancy / Ohood Al Roumi
Ms. Ohood Al Roumi holds the position of Director Genaral of the Prime Minister's Office since 2006 where she is spearheading government reform initiatives at the federal level. She has played a central role in leading the technical team that supported the development of the UAE government strategy 2008-2010. Moreover, she supervised the development of the first of its kind electronic performance management portal in the region that aims at instilling the culture of excellence and accomplishment in UAE federal entities. |

Ms. Al Roumi was recruited by The Executive Office of Dubai in 2004 to head the executive team in charge of developing Dubai's economic plan and coordinate the development of the plan with the economy and trade sub-committee of The Executive Council of Dubai. Over and above that, she worked at The Executive Office with the economic policy team on developing the needed economic policies aimed at promoting sustainable economic development in Dubai.
Ms. Al Roumi has wide experience in the economic field. She started her career with the Dubai Chamber as an economic researcher and grew to manage the department of business research, making use of the core expertise she amassed in the fundamentals of the UAE economy and its business environment.
Ms. Ohood Al Roumi is a board member of Mohammed Bin Rashid Foundation. She is a graduate of the Mohammed Bin Rashed Program for leadership development. She holds a Master's in Business Administration from Sharjah University and a Bachelors in economics from the UAE University . |
