The Cabinet Retreats

The first Cabinet Retreat was held in 2007 at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort in Dubai. Such a high-level meeting has become a platform to discuss essential national issues and organize brainstorming sessions away from the restrictions of office work and routine.

Since His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum took office as Prime Minister of the UAE in 2006, Cabinet Retreats were organized in several places across the UAE in the last few years:
1) The Cabinet Retreat at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort in Dubai in 2007
2) The Cabinet Retreat at Dadna in Fujairah in 2007
3) The Cabinet Retreat at Jabel Al Dhanna in Abu Dhabi in 2007
4) The Cabinet Retreat at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort in the Western Region in 2010
5) The Cabinet Retreat at Sir Bani Yas Island in 2013
6) The Cabinet Retreat (The UAE Beyond Oil) at Bab Al Shams Resort in Dubai in 2016
