UAE Flag Day
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, during a speech in November 2013, called upon the people of the UAE to celebrate ‘Flag Day’ on November 3rd every year as a national campaign to celebrate the anniversary of the accession of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE.
He urged all Emiratis to participate in the event and called upon government entities and departments as well as ministries to hoist the national flag on buildings on 6th November at 12 pm. The Cabinet has issued a procedural guide on the use of the UAE flag to preserve its prestige and status as a symbol of the country and national honour for the people of the UAE.
