Ministry of Cabinet Affairs

The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs was established in 2006 upon the nomination of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.

The Ministry carries out its functions through the General Secretariat of the Cabinet and the Prime Minister’s Office under the Ministry’s umbrella. The main role of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs is to provide support to the Prime Minister, the Cabinet, UAE Ministerial Development Council, and all the established committees and ministerial councils. The Ministry studies issues and projects assigned to it by the Prime Minister or the Cabinet and follows up on the related resolutions and directives. In addition, it monitors government performance, contributes to improving the performance of the Federal Government, and raises the quality of government services and the communication systems of the federal entities. The Ministry spearheads excellence efforts at the Federal Government. It conducts research and studies relevant to the Federal Government strategy and vision, sets the frameworks and mandates of the Federal entities, and put up the appropriate recommendations to the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
